Some Bad News, Some Good News

Alright, so the remake of this game has had a... rocky development. It's largely my fault, in all honesty, because I am stretching myself thin on a ton of projects at once. Also, I have noticed a few flaws in the gameplay. For example, while the gameplay is simple, there isn't really much room for depth. Not only that, but the game would probably end up bland stylistically. So, after giving it some thought, I am going to change a few things about the gameplay.

First, now you'll face off against an enemy of some sort, who throws the projectiles at you. You would either have to last long enough or defeat your opponent. I can't decide which should be the main goal: lasting through the song, or defeating your opponent. I'd love to hear your input on this!

Secondly, I really want to rework the songs. I used to use Bosca Ceoil for the songs, but I am planning on remastering them in LMMS, as well as making them longer. I also want to work on some better tutorial songs, because one of the original criticisms I got was that the first level was harder than it should have been.

Next, I am planning on generally making a ton of visual updates. I think I'll try to stick to a pixel artstyle, but I may end up changing that later down the road. But when I say visual updates, I mean adding some post-processing, improving the menu, making more appealing backgrounds, etc.

Lastly, I have mostly been developing the game myself up until now, but there may be a dev team soon, so stay tuned for that!

I know that game delays can be really annoying, but it always help the game improve. What do you think about these changes?
